Bags Mohajer is a projekt we started in winter 2009, bags are made out of old clothes and rubber boats we take from the coast in Lesvos. All the benefit from the bags, a 100%, gos to us, the taylors, the young refugees …


Bags made of donated clothes, textiles that no one needs anymore – we made them new and useable again … The people think that we refugees are of no value, but as we find the value in the thrown away things, it is with us. With in us there is a value to recognize.


Boat Bags, are made out of the rubber-boats we came with … It is like a extension of our memory … the boats that brought us here, we are carrying on now …

When my life was destroyed

I was a child, I remember those days when I lost my family. Maybe I was 7 or 8 I think.

We were crossing the border between Afghanistan and Iran when I lost my family and a lot of people were trying to cross the borders to the neighboring countries. I was kidnapped by masked men with their faces hidden who took me to another place. One of the men had long hair and a mustache. He was a cruel person and I will remember him always. I was crying and begging him: “Please take me back to my family!” He was so cruel. Sometimes he was hitting me. One day he threatened me: “Stop crying. If you cry, I will kill you.”
